Working at a resort can be challenging, profitable and fun. Most resorts put a premium on professionalism, appearance and previous work experience or schooling. The ability to speak a second language is a huge advantage for a bartender.

The weather is usually beautiful and most resorts offer housing or housing allowances for employees. Many will require an employment contract with a 6 month time frame or more to receive the housing benefit.

Bartending in Las Vegas is a sought after job. Bartenders at Caesers, MGM Grand, Bellagio, Tropicana, Golden Nugget, New York New York, Harrahs, Ballys, Alladin. Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Circus Circus, Excalibur, Hard Rock Hotel Casino have some of the most lucrative bartending jobs in the US.

The top flight venues usually offer some flair bartenders, but speed and the ability to work under pressure are highly valued.
 
Bartenders may work at union hotels for up to a year. At that time, they must take and pass the union test to tend bar professionally in Vegas. Take the next step and get your training now!
